The Circulation Booster Mobile™
The Circulation Booster Mobile has been developed to improve circulation, ease the discomfort of tired and aching legs and to prevent the conditions required for the development of Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism.
The innovation this device brings is its portability. Finally, you can have a therapy on the move, whilst a passenger in an aeroplane or car, sitting in a wheel chair, in a hospital bed during recovery or at your place of work. Indeed, the only time we do not recommend using the product is when driving a vehicle or handling machinery.
The Circulation Booster Mobile is included in the family of products called Transcutaneous Electro Nerve Stimulation, commonly known as TENS devices. TENS is best known for its ability to safely reduce chronic pain. Physiotherapists are the professional group most familiar with the benefits of TENS.
Circulation Booster Mobile is known as an Electro Muscle Stimulation device. The control unit is powered by a battery and transmits mild electric impulses via conductive electrodes through the skin to underlying nerve fibres and muscles. Circulation Booster Mobile is approved for the treatment of pain and the improvement of blood circulation system.
How it works
The Control Unit generates mild electric impulses that stimulate nerves which in turn contract and relax the muscles. As an example, the sock applicator carries the impulses to the tops of toes resulting in an increase in arterial blood flow into the foot through the arteries in the toes. At the same time, the plantar muscle in the foot’s instep is stimulated and this results in the contraction of calf muscles.
As the calf muscles contract, they squeeze the deep veins and force venous blood towards the heart. One way valves in the deep veins stop the blood from flowing back into the calf. Ultrasound testing has shown significant improvements in blood flow through the deep veins behind the knee.
About The Circulation Booster Mobile
Frequently Asked Questions:
What is it?
The Circulation Booster Mobile is a device that is proven to improve circulation in your legs by as much as 50% in a healthy person. (A 50% increase in blood flow is seen in the deep vein of the leg. Tests are carried out using Doppler ultrasound by clinical physicians in our Germany laboratory.)
Why is this important
It has been shown that by boosting your circulation you can maintain a good level of blood flow which can help to prevent the formation of blood clots. The CBM has been designed to focus on improving the circulation in the most vulnerable area – the legs. This is where deep vein thrombosis (DVT) originates and they account for up to 90% of incidences of pulmonary emboli.
How does it work?
Gentle electric impulses are created by a control unit and applied through the skin via conducting fibre sock applicators. Nerve endings in the feet are stimulated by gentle electrical pulses and this causes the muscles in the calf to contract, resulting in a pumping action that forces the blood in the deep veins of the calf towards the heart.
Can you prove it works?
By positioning a Doppler Ultrasound on the deep vein of the knee, we can demonstrate the immediate and sustained increase in blood flow through the deep veins. We can also position the ultrasound on the top of toes and demonstrate an increased arterial blood flow down into the foot.
Is there any reason why I shouldn’t use it?
CBM is contra-indicated for people fitted with automatic implanted cardiac defibrillators (AICD) or pace makers or who suffer from epilepsy.
Where is it safe to use it?
The product is safe to use at anytime except when actually driving a vehicle. It may not be used in a commercial aircraft until cabin staff announce that electronic equipment (computers, iPods, etc) can be used.
How often should I use it for maximum effect?
The frequency of use is more important than the intensity of the therapy. For people who are bed rested, using it six times per day for 30 minutes is not excessive. Those with poor circulation may use it once or more often per day for 30 minutes.
How long will the batteries last?
The battery life is 50 to 100 therapies. The device will simply stop working when the battery is expended.
What size is the unit?
The control unit is H11.5 cm x W6 cm x D25cm and weighs 120 grams
Where can I buy one?
You can purchase the product online. In USA, this product is only available from medical practitioners by prescription.
There are not too many people who haven’t experienced sore, tired and/or aching limbs. These symptoms may be due to poor circulation or the variety of injuries many of us have suffered over the years. Regardless of the cause, the Circulation Booster has proven to be a safe, easy and effective way to get your blood flowing & stimulating your muscles, which eases these symptoms. I should know, I use it regularly myself.

I have been using the circulation booster twice a week for one month. I have been suffering from mild restless leg syndrome at night, since using the device my legs seem to be more restful, which in turn aids my sleep... I am very encouraged by the results.

I was impressed the first time I tried the Circulation Booster and my elderly Mother has been using the machine with fantastic results. Last year my Mother was diagnosed with Sjogren’s syndrome, which is associated with Rheumatoid Arthritis and related to other conditions like Raynaud’s disease. The medical profession think this is due to side effects of radiotherapy during cancer treatment. These conditions have given my Mother discomfort and restless legs during the night. However, since using the Circulation Booster alternate evenings, at 8pm for approx. 1⁄2 hour, No. 19 frequency, her condition has improved and she is able to have a good night's sleep. We hope this helps others with similar symptoms.

I also use it and find it stimulates the lymphatic glands and makes the calf muscles jump; this can only be good for blood circulation. Long haul airlines should have one at every seat to avoid DVT (Deep vein thrombosis).
